Even the Democrats Oppose Obama's Jobs Act

President Obama knows how to give a great speech. He knows how to use poll-tested phrases to pull at our hearts. But his words and his actions don’t add up.
The strategies of his “experts” don’t create jobs.
He is taking money from the people who do know how to create jobs and giving it to the very folks who just used the last trillion dollar emergency measure to create a bloated government bureaucracy, and empower unions and other Obama cronies. Remember Solyndra?
We’ve been through this, more than once, before. Obama makes his case to the American people. We give him what he wants. And we get unprecedented government debt, massive unemployment, skyrocketing prices, and an overbearing federal bureaucracy.
Now he’s coming back for more. Have we learned our lesson yet?
CO State Senator Shawn Mitchell summarized Obama’s original pitch for his Jobs Act this way:
"I spent a trillion borrowed dollars on non-existent 'shovel-ready' projects and aid to state and local governments. It didn't put people back to work. Now I want to spend a half-trillion borrowed dollars on shovel-ready projects and aid to state and local government. It will work! If you're skeptical, you're putting politics before the economy & our nation's good. And you want to expose children to mercury. Stop playing politics. Good night. God bless America."
The policies in the "American Jobs Act" won’t work. Even Democrats oppose it. In fact, they tried to keep it from coming to a vote. That should tell us something.
