Marco Rubio Endorses Mitt Romney

3/29/2012

Marco Rubio officially endorsed Mitt Romney on Wednesday, saying:

“I am going to endorse Mitt Romney. And the reason why is not only because he’s going to be the Republican nominee, but he offers at this point such a stark contrast to the president’s record.”

“I think all the candidates in this race have a lot to be proud of … but I just can’t buy into this idea that by their own admission, they’re saying the only way they can win this race is by having a floor fight in Tampa in August. And I think that’s a recipe to deliver four more years to Barack Obama.”

When asked if he would accept an invitation to serve as vice president, Senator Rubio said, “I don’t believe I’m going to be asked to be the vice presidential nominee. That’s not what I intend to be, that’s not what I want to be and that’s not what’s going to happen. What I will do though is work very hard for Mitt Romney as the nominee of our party.”

Obama Assures Russian President He Will Have
"More Flexibility" After the Election

Picture

Caught by an open microphone, President Obama candidly confides to Russian President Medvedev that Obama will have "more flexibility" in missile defense negotiations after the election.

Of course, President Obama is assuming we will elect him again.  How do you feel about giving him four more years with additional "flexibility" to implement his agenda?

Madison's Last Stand

3/27/2012

by Rich Lowry, in National Review

"The shade of James Madison hovers over the Obamacare argument at the Supreme Court.

"It is the system of limited and carefully divided government powers that he had a large hand in crafting — and defended so ably in the Federalist Papers — that is at stake in the contest over the constitutionality of the individual mandate.

"If the mandate stands, it will be the latest blow to Madison’s scheme, which is the best architecture for self-government yet devised by man, but has been steadily worn down over time. It is a damning indictment of contemporary Washington that, overall, it is so hostile to the Madisonian ethos. He is a most inconvenient Founding Father since he tells us: No, the federal government can’t do whatever it wants; no, we can’t just all get along; no, we can’t rush to pass whatever legislation is deemed a “can’t wait” priority by the president. Now, grow up.

"In the mind of contemporary progressivism, these words of Madison from the Federalist Papers simply don’t compute: “The powers delegated by the proposed Constitution to the federal government are few and defined. Those which are to remain in the State governments are numerous and indefinite...."

Note to Patriotic Moms:

This is an article I would read myself and then print out and talk about with my children.

We need to prepare a generation of patriots and leaders who understand that following the Constitution is the very key to preserving liberty, peace, and prosperity in America!

Obamacare is bad for a host of reasons, but our focus should begin and end with preserving the Constitution. Don't allow its preservation to become part of a laundry list of items.

Again, the Constitution is the key to preventing tyranny, and to preserving liberty, peace, and prosperity in America!

Rally to Repeal Obamacare

3/26/2012

"Thousands of Tea Party Patriots from across the country gathered for a rally near the U.S. Supreme Court Saturday to demand the unconstitutional government healthcare law be struck down by the court as they hear arguments on Obamacare this week.

"Government run health care is the best example of everything wrong with the federal government. It is financially reckless. No one knows what it will ultimately cost - or where the money will come from.

"Additionally, ObamaCare will grow the federal government into every aspect of our lives. It will grow government into a massive bloated bureaucracy making health care decisions that directly affect you. In fact, the federal government must hire more than 17,000 IRS agents to enforce the law.

"Logan Darrow Clements shows what happens when 'the government becomes your doctor' using licensed news footage from Canadian TV, interviews with doctors, patients, journalists, a health minister, a Member of Parliament, a doctor who went on a hunger strike as well the producer's own Canadian relatives.

"Clements even rents a hospital to show the mismatch between supply and demand in a medical system run by politicians.

"SICK and SICKER puts ObamaCare on ice with cold hard facts from Canada."

Mitt Romney: "Why I'd Repeal Obamacare"

"Friday is the second anniversary of Obamacare. It is past time to abolish the program, root and branch....

"The reforms I propose for the country could not be more different from Barack Obama's.

"They entail no new taxes, no massive diversions of funds away from Medicare, no tax discrimination, and no new bureaucracies.

"At the same time, they increase consumer choice, lower health care costs, decrease government spending, and give states responsibility for dealing with the uninsured.

"Whatever the Supreme Court decides about the constitutionality of Obamacare, we already know that it is bad policy and wrong for America. Abolishing it and putting sensible changes in its place will be one of my highest priorities as president."      Read More...

Education or Indoctrination?

As a Mom, have you ever worried about the "daily diet" of ideas your child is being fed in the public schools?

I know I have.

Some teachers clearly have an agenda they are pushing.

For example, a Virginia middle school teacher recently forced his students to research the backgrounds of the Republican candidates, find weaknesses in their positions, create a strategy to exploit them, and figure out how to report their findings and recommendations to the Obama campaign.

Parents were upset when they discovered the "assignment."
