My Mom and Dad LOVED the old songs from the 1940's. Whenever one came on the radio, they would drop what they were doing, embrace in an affectionate dance pose, gaze into each other's eyes, and whirl away. It didn't matter where they were: kitchen, family room, front room, bedroom -- they were off in another world. And they always finished their dance with a kiss, a nice long kiss.
This song is for them and all the couples like them who loved life, but were willing to sacrifice everything for the cause of freedom.
