
In other words, the DOJ did not find any evidence of wrongdoing at the IRS (or FEC) because the DOJ was an accomplice helping to hide the evidence.
Oversight chairman Darrell Issa said, “These e-mails are part of an overwhelming body of evidence that political pressure from prominent Democrats led to the targeting of Americans for their political beliefs.”
Part of their strategy was to hit Tea Party and conservative groups hard in an effort to shut them up and shut them down. In fact, if they had not been investigated, the DOJ would probably have implemented their plan to bring "trumped up criminal charges against Tea Party groups to intimidate them from exercising their Constitutional rights."
Facing each IRS attack are people like you and me -- people who are trying to rescue their country while they provide for their families and meet all the normal responsibilities and challenges of life. But taxpayer-funded bureaucrats are using the power of government to intimidate them and waste their time and money. That is more than a "smidgen of corruption."

"The abuses I will discuss today occurred on your watch. It is your responsibility to make sure it doesn’t happen again."
