At Least One Baby was Saved from Abortion because of this Speech by a 12-Year-Old Girl

Lia's pro-choice teacher warned her she would be disqualified from the school's speech competition if she chose to speak about abortion.  But the teacher changed her mind after she heard Lia's message -- with one caveat -- that she remove a reference to God from the speech.

After a tearful, prayerful night, Lia decided she had no choice but to  withdraw from the competition.  Again the teacher relented.

The night of the competition the school judges disqualified Lia -- until the next morning when they notified her she had won!  And that was only the beginning for this wonderful girl of faith, courage, conviction, and talent...

Lia's mom gives her most of the credit for this remarkable speech.  And Lia is a very talented girl!  But each child brings gifts and talents for his or her unique mission in life.  Often they are capable of learning and doing more than we realize.  It's worth our best efforts to help them prepare for the spiritual battle that surrounds them.

As we do our best, we will have help beyond our own abilities.  In Lia's words: "It’s often said and believed that God will never give us a problem that’s too big for us to handle. But my youth pastor took that and he dared to disagree. He said ‘No! God always gives us a problem that’s way, way too big for us to handle, but not too big for us to handle together with Him.’

“So here we are, with this, massively huge conflict and battle laying before us, but an even bigger God behind us, backing us up and watching over us. As someone wiser than me once said, ‘All it takes for evil to prevail, is for good men to do nothing.’ In this conflict, let’s not be guilty of doing nothing. Stay strong, and do what you can; every little thing counts.”
