This morning a Facebook friend's wall declares, "Adversity is mandatory. Misery is optional." I believe that's true.
Life, although it's sometimes laden with frustration, worry, even pain, can be overflowing with purpose and meaning.
The trials and adversity that can overwhelm us can also refine us and make us wiser, stronger, and more compassionate.
Trusting God empowers us to see the hidden blessings. The scriptures teach us, "Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths." ~Proverbs 3:5-6
When we do that, we experience the hope that transforms our trials into blessings.
