Congressman Ron Paul officially retired this week.

First elected to serve in 1976, he has been an unwavering advocate for constitutional principles.

Even those who disagree with Ron Paul agree that his devotion to the Constitution has been a powerful catalyst to change the course of our national conversation.

Congressman Paul is a genuine patriot, with a courage and integrity that are unique in Washington D.C.  He will be deeply missed.

Ron Paul was first elected to serve in the House of Representatives in 1976, and after a wonderful career, he will be retiring from Congress at the end of this term.

Although his views weren't always popular, Ron Paul was always a knowledgeable advocate of constitutional principles.

His devotion to the Constitution over the years has changed the course of the national conversation.  He is a genuine patriot, and his courage and integrity were unique in a city filled with politicians with few guiding principles.  He will be missed.

This video is a tribute made by the RNC for Dr. Paul's many years of service.

"I have come to one firm conviction after these many years of trying to figure out 'the plain truth of things.'  The best chance for achieving peace and prosperity, for the maximum number of people worldwide, is to pursue the cause of LIBERTY."  ~Ron Paul

I've been impressed by Ron Paul's devotion to the  Constitution, his clarity of thought, and his leadership and courage in addressing the corruption in Washington.

Dr. Paul is a man of character.  Unlike many politicians, he has been a consistent conservative for many years.

He makes decisions based on what is best for America, not what is best for himself.

One small example is that  Dr. Paul has chosen not to participate in the luxurious Congressional retirement program.  He is in politics to help our country, not to help himself.

Congressman Ron Paul predicted the financial crisis long before other politicians saw it coming.

In this interview he answers questions about how the free market works and how the United States can get back to a sustainable monetary policy.  He shares a lot of insights in 10 minutes.
