OK, this video is really called The Free Lunch Myth, but the same principles apply to the myth of free birth control or the myth of free healthcare.

Government doesn’t pay for it, we do.  And when government takes our money to pay for something like healthcare, politicians take a cut, and then claim the power to tell us what care we can get, when we can get it,  and how we must live our lives to qualify for the "free" care that we paid for with our taxes.

Government has no money of it’s own.  It always takes its money from the people.

Sometimes government does things in a way that conceals where the money is coming from.  For example, politicians may say they are taxing businesses, not people, but businesses have to pass taxes on to consumers.  Business owners may write the check, but they add their expenses to the goods and services that people buy.

And taxes on employers end up being paid by the employee.  All taxes are eventually paid by the people.

Some say that government can just print more money to pay for government services, but you can’t print money without cost.  It ends up being another form of taxation.

When you print more money, people have more money to spend.  When you spend more money on the same amount of goods and services, prices go up, The result is that everyone is paying a tax through inflation.  That hits retired people who are on a fixed income the very hardest because their life savings are devalued and then they struggle to make ends meet.

Buying Votes with Your Credit Card

Picture

Many voters become concerned when they discover that President Obama will have a billion dollars to spend on his re-election campaign. A billion dollars worth of attack ads could make Santa Claus look bad.

Others worry that some people will vote for Obama because he is handing out free cell phones.  Popularly known as "Obama phones,"  they are paid for with your tax dollars.  And the word is spreading -- those who refer a friend get 100 extra minutes.

But these things are insignificant, just the tip of the iceberg, compared to Obama's real re-election treasure chest.  This six minute video explains why.

What can we do?  Spread the word!  "Like" this post.  Tell your friends!

In the words of Thomas Jefferson:  "I know no safe depository of the ultimate powers of the society but the people themselves; and if we think them not enlightened enough to exercise their control with a wholesome discretion, the remedy is not to take it from them, but to inform their discretion by education. This is the true corrective of abuses of constitutional power."

The more people are educated, the less susceptible they will be to bribes, and the more likely they will be to do what is best for the future of their children, the future of freedom, and the future of America.

180 college students were asked to write what the American Dream means to them and what they want the federal government to do to help them achieve that dream.

Here are the eye-opening results.

Did you know that 47% of American households pay no taxes?  That's right.  Almost half don't pay anything toward the incredible benefits we receive as citizens.

In other words, the people getting free stuff are close to outnumbering the people paying the bills.

And now, one out of every three Americans is dependent on government subsidies.  1 out of 3.

Some politicians don't like that one bit.  They love it!
They like to use your money to bribe people on the government dole (and payroll) to vote for them.

In fact, a recent New York Times article by Thomas Edsall, The Future of the Obama Coalition,"   revealed the Democrats' 2012 election strategy will "explicitly abandon the white working class."

Instead, says Edsall, Democrats will build their coalition with "professors, artists, designers, editors, human resources managers, lawyers, librarians, social workers, teachers and therapists."  (These voters have already been indoctrinated via their liberal college "education.")

According to Edsall, Democrats are pursuing "a second, substantial constituency of lower-income voters who are disproportionately African-American and Hispanic."

Now why would Democrats only go after "lower-income" minorities?  Are they discriminating against middle-income and upper-income minorities?  Probably not.  They just can't can't use your money to buy their votes.

Some people think this means the Democrats are compassionate.  Wrong again.  Democratic politicians' charitable contributions are much lower than Republicans'.  They only like being generous when they can buy power and votes with taxpayer dollars.

They got away with abusing the system for awhile, but the U.S. has reached a tipping point.  The financial system is on the verge of being overwhelmed beyond repair.  To make matters even more volatile, Obama and his colleagues continually use the rhetoric of class warfare to fan the flames of division and discontent.

Now it's urgent to put Constitutional principles and patriotism ahead of politics.  We can only survive as a free society if we are self reliant as individuals.  Government handouts come with strings attached. As the economy weakens it will get worse.  The strings will become chains.

We are at the beginning of a long, arduous journey.  The payment for many years of massive waste and unaccountable spending is coming due.

As Patriotic Moms we can play an important and powerful part in the preservation of freedom if we help our children learn to love America and the Constitution, and teach them how to work, to be frugal, to be content with simple pleasures, and to become self-sufficient.

“The American Republic will endure until the day Congress discovers that it can bribe the public with the public's money.”  ~Alexis de Tocqueville

“A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves largesse from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits from the public treasury with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy, always followed by a dictatorship. The average age of the world's greatest civilizations has been 200 years.”  ~Alexis de Tocqueville
